New information has been released concerning Wednesday's fatal accident at the old Mississippi River bridge. According to Washington County Coroner, Methel Johnson, 2 workers passed away from their injuries.. 21-year-old Julian Medina Martinez from Laplace Louisiana passed away in a Jackson hospital last night due to multiple injuries sustained after falling 40 feet. A second worker passed away at the scene of the accident, but his name has not been released. The men worked for Granite Construction, a subcontractor on the dismantling project.
